யானைக் கட்டு
வேடன் ஒருவன் காட்டிற்குள் சென்று பெரிய குழிகளை வெட்டி வைப்பான். அந்த வழியாக வரும் யானைகளில் ஏதாவது ஒன்று அந்தக் குழிக்குள் தவறி விழுந்துவிடும்.
சில நாட்கள் அந்த குழியிலிருந்து வெளியில் வரத் தன்னால் முடிந்த அளவு போராடிப் பார்க்கும். பின்னர் சிறுது சிறிதாக தன்னுடைய நம்பிக்கையை இழக்க ஆரம்பிக்கும்.
பின்னர் அதனைத் தக்க பாதுகாப்போடு தன் இடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்து மிகப்பெரிய இரும்புச் சங்கிலிகளைக் கொண்டு கட்டி வைப்பான்.
முடிந்தவரை சங்கிலிகளை அறுத்தெறிந்துவிட்டுத் தப்பித்து விடலாம் என்று யானை முயற்சி செய்யும்.
சில மாதங்கள் வரை அந்தப் போராட்டம் தொடரும். அதன்பிறகு அவன் அந்த யானைகளின் கால்களில் உள்ள சங்கிலிகளை அகற்றிவிட்டு சிறிய கயிறு கொண்டு கட்டி விடுவான்.
யானை நினைத்தால் அந்தக் கயிற்றை எளிதாக அறுத்து விட்டுத் தப்பித்துவிடலாம். ஆனால் யானை தப்பிக்க முயற்சி செய்யாது. ஏனென்றால் முன்னர் பலமான சங்கிலியால் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த போது அவற்றை இழுத்து இழுததுக் கால்களில் காயம்பட்டதன் நினைவாகக் கயிற்றை இழுக்கச் சற்றும் முயற்சி செய்து பார்க்காது.
நாம் யானை போல் இருக்க கூடாது. முயற்சி செய்வதை எந்தச் சூழலிலும், எத்தகைய துன்பம் வந்தபோதிலும் நிறுத்திவிடக்கூடாது
Vēṭaṉ oruvaṉ kāṭṭiṟkuḷ ceṉṟu periya kuḻikaḷai veṭṭi vaippāṉ. Anta vaḻiyāka varum yāṉaikaḷil ētāvatu oṉṟu antak kuḻikkuḷ tavaṟi viḻuntuviṭum.
Cila nāṭkaḷ anta kuḻiyiliruntu veḷiyil varat taṉṉāl muṭinta aḷavu pōrāṭip pārkkum. Piṉṉar ciṟutu ciṟitāka taṉṉuṭaiya nampikkaiyai iḻakka ārampikkum.
Piṉṉar ataṉait takka pātukāppōṭu taṉ iṭattiṟkuk koṇṭuvantu mikapperiya irumpuc caṅkilikaḷaik koṇṭu kaṭṭi vaippāṉ.
Muṭintavarai caṅkilikaḷai aṟutteṟintuviṭṭut tappittu viṭalām eṉṟu yāṉai muyaṟci ceyyum.
Cila mātaṅkaḷ varai antap pōrāṭṭam toṭarum. Ataṉpiṟaku avaṉ anta yāṉaikaḷiṉ kālkaḷil uḷḷa caṅkilikaḷai akaṟṟiviṭṭu ciṟiya kayiṟu koṇṭu kaṭṭi viṭuvāṉ.
Yāṉai niṉaittāl antak kayiṟṟai eḷitāka aṟuttu viṭṭut tappittuviṭalām. Āṉāl yāṉai tappikka muyaṟci ceyyātu. Ēṉeṉṟāl muṉṉar palamāṉa caṅkiliyāl kaṭṭappaṭṭirunta pōtu avaṟṟai iḻuttu iḻutatuk kālkaḷil kāyampaṭṭataṉ niṉaivākak kayiṟṟai iḻukkac caṟṟum muyaṟci ceytu pārkkātu.
Nām yāṉai pōl irukka kūṭātu. Muyaṟci ceyvatai entac cūḻalilum, ettakaiya tuṉpam vantapōtilum niṟuttiviṭakkūṭātu
A hunter would go into the forest and cut big holes. One of the elephants passing through will slip into the pit.
For a few days he will struggle as hard as he can to get out of that hole. Then little by little the little one begins to lose his confidence.
Then he would bring it safely to his place and tie it with huge iron chains.
The elephant will try to break as many chains as possible and escape.
The struggle will continue for several months. After that he would remove the chains from the legs of the elephants and tie them with a small rope.
An elephant can easily cut the rope and escape. But the elephant does not try to escape. Because they will not even try to pull the rope in memory of the injury to their legs when they were previously tied with strong chains.
We should not be like elephants. Don't stop trying under any circumstances, no matter what the adversity
