குதிரையின் வஞ்சம் (Trick of the horse)

ஒரு குதிரையும், ஒரு புள்ளிமானும் நல்ல நண்பர்களாக இருந்தன. ஒருநாள் இரண்டும் யார் வேகமாக ஒடுகிறார்கள் என போட்டி நடந்தது. அதில் புள்ளிமான் வென்று விட்டது.

அதில் இருந்து இருவருக்கும் பகை ஏற்பட்டன. அன்று முதல் அந்த புள்ளிமானை பழிவாங்க எண்ணிய குதிரை ஒரு மனிதனின் உதவியை நாடியது.

அதன் வேண்டுகோளை ஏற்ற மனிதன் குதிரைக்குச் சேணமும்,  கடிவாளமும் போட்டான். அதன் மீது சவாரி செய்து புள்ளிமானை விரட்டிப் பிடித்துக் கொன்றான்.

தனது பகைவன் ஓழிந்தைக் கண்டு மகிழ்ச்சியில் குதிரைக் கனைத்தது. தன் எதிரியை ஒழித்த மனிதனுக்கு நன்றி கூறியது. தன் கடிவாளத்தை நீக்கித் தன்னை விடுவிக்கும்படி வேண்டியது.

குதிரையே, உன்னை விடுவிப்பதா! அது முடியவே முடியாது. நான் வசதியாகச் சவாரிச் செய்ய நீ எனக்கு மிகவும் பயன்படுவாய். ஆகையால் உன்னை விடுவிக்கவே மாட்டேன் என்று கூறிச் சிரித்தான்.

அன்று முதல் குதிரை, மனிதனுக்கு அடிமையாக இருக்கிறது. குதிரையின் வஞ்சம் தீர்ந்தது. ஆனால் அது தன் சுதந்திரத்தினை இழந்து அடிமையாகவே இருக்க வேண்டியதாயிற்று.

நீதி: பிறக்கு கேடு நினைப்பவன் நிச்சயம் கெட்டுப்போவான்.

A horse and a deer were good friends. One day there was a competition as to who could cross faster. The spotted deer has won.

 Since then, the two had an enmity. From that day on, the horse sought the help of a man to seek revenge on the spotted deer.

 Accepting its request, the man put a saddle and a bridle on the horse. Riding on it, he chased the pointman and killed him.

 The horse neighed in joy to see his enemy gone. Thanking the man who killed his enemy. He had to remove his reins and free himself.

 Horse, free thee! It can never be done. You will be very helpful for me to ride comfortably. So he laughed saying that he will never release you.

 Since then, the horse has been a slave to man. The trick of the horse is over. But it lost its freedom and had to remain a slave.

 Justice: He who thinks evil will surely be evil.
