மன்னனின் கேள்வி!
ராம வருவன் என்ற மன்னன் தன் நாட்டை சிறப்பாக ஆட்சி செய்து வந்தான். அந்த மன்னனின் அமைச்சரில் ஒருவர் மூப்பின் காரணமாக இறந்துவிட்டதால், அடுத்த அமைச்சரை தேர்வு செய்ய ஒரு போட்டி நடத்தினார் மன்னர். அதில் நிறைய நபர் கலந்துக் கொண்டார்கள். ஆனால், அனைத்துப் போட்டிகளிலும் வெங்கட், ஜகன் என்ற இருவர் மட்டும் வெற்றி பெற்றனர்.
மன்னர் இருவரையும் அரண்மனைக்கு அழைத்தார். அங்கு மன்னர், " என் நண்பன் ஒர் இதய நோயாளி, அவன் நேற்று இரவு ஒரு கனவு கண்டான்.
அந்த கனவில் அவன் நடந்து செல்லும்போது அந்த வழி நான்காகப் பிரிந்தது. முதல் பாதையில் அவன் சென்றபோது அங்கு கொடிய சிங்கம் ஒன்றைக் கண்டவுடன் பயந்து நான்கு பாதை சந்திக்கும் இடத்திற்கே மீண்டும் வந்து விட்டான்.
பிறகு இரண்டாவது பாதையில் சென்ற போது அங்கு பல பாம்புகளை கண்டவுடன் பயந்து நான்கு பாதை சந்திக்கும் இடத்திற்கு வந்துவிட்டான். பிறகு மூன்றாவது பாதையில் சென்றபோது அரக்கன் உள்ளதைக் கண்டவுடன் திரும்பி, நான்காவது பாதையில் செல்லும்போது யாரோ ஓடிவருவதுபோல சத்தம் கேட்டு திரும்பிப் பார்த்தால் அரக்கன் துரத்தி வருவது தெரிந்தது. உடனே வேகமாக ஓடிப் பெரிய பள்ளத்தில் விழுவதாகக் கனவு கண்ட அவன், கண் விழித்தவுடன் இறந்தான்" என்றார் மன்னன்.
"அவர் இதய நோயாளி அவர் நான்கு முறை பயந்ததால் இறந்திருப்பார்" என்றார் வெங்கட்.
ஆனால் ஜெகன் " மன்னர் கூறியது பொய். அவர் நண்பன் கனவு கண்டு எழுந்தவுடன் இறந்து விட்டார். பிறகு எப்படி அவர் கண்ட கனவு மன்னருக்குத் தெரியும்?" என்றான்.
இதைக் கேட்ட மன்னர் ஜெகனை அமைச்சராக நியமித்தார்.

But Jagan said, "What the king said was a lie. His friend died after waking up from the dream. Then how did the king know about the dream he saw?" He said.
Hearing this, the king appointed Jagan as a minister.
