குள்ளநரி அரசன்(Jackal King)
ஒரு நாள் இரவு வேளையில் , பசியுடன் கூடிய குள்ள நரி ஒன்று காட்டுப் பக்கத்திலுள்ள கிராமத்திற்கு இரைத் தேடிச்சென்றது.
நரியைக் கண்ட அந்த ஊர் தெரு நாய் கூட்டம் நரியினை விரட்டின. குள்ளநரி தன்னால் முடிந்தவரை வேகமாக ஒடியது. அப்படி ஓடும் போது ஒரு பெரிய மதில் சுவரைத் தாண்டியது.
அந்த மதில் சுவர்க்கு மறுபுறம் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த நீல நிற சாயத் தெ
தொட்டியில் விழுந்தது. இதனையறியாத நாய்கள் தொடர்ந்து ஓடின.
பின்னர் குள்ளநரி பாதிப்பில்லாமல் தொட்டியிலிருந்து வெளியே வந்தது.
காட்டிற்குத் திரும்பும் வழியில் குள்ளநரி, ஒரு ஆற்றை கடந்தது. அப்பொழுது அதன் உடல் முழுவதும் நீலநிறமாகக் காணப்பட்டன. அதைக் கண்டு அதிர்ந்தது. இப்படியே, நாம் காட்டுக்கு சென்றால் நம்மை மற்ற மிருகங்கள் என்ன செய்யுமோ என பயந்துக்கொண்டு காட்டுக்குள் சென்றது.
ஆனால், இந்த குள்ளநரியைப் பார்த்த மற்ற மிருகங்கள் பயப்பட ஆரம்பித்தன. இதைப் பார்த்த நரிக்கு ஒரு யோசனை தோன்றின.
இந்த பயத்தை தனக்கு சாதகமாக ஆக்கிக்கொண்டு. இனி நான்தான் உங்களின் புது அரசர் இனிமேல் எனக்கு எல்லா விலங்குகளும் கட்டுப்பட்டு நடக்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறியது.
அது மட்டுமில்லாமல், இங்கே ஏற்கனவே ஒர் அரசர் இருக்கார்மே அவன் பெயர் சிங்கமம், அவனை நான் நேரில் பார்க்கனும் வர சொல்லுங்க என்று கர்வத்துடன் கூறியது. இதைப் போய் சிங்கத்திடம் மற்ற மிருங்கள் கூறின, நரி கூறியதை விடநிறைய மேம்ப்படுத்தி கூறியது. இதைத் கேட்ட சிங்கம் அச்சம் கொண்டு நரியைப் பார்க்க வர மறுத்தது.
இதைக்கேட்ட நரிக்கு கோபம் வந்தது. அதற்கு என்ன நாளை அதை நேரில் என்ன செய்கிறேன் பாருங்கள் என்று ஊறுமின.
இதைக்கேட்ட மற்ற மிருகங்கள் நாளை என்ன நடக்குமோ என பயந்தன. இதை சிங்கத்திடம் தெரிவித்தன. சிங்கமும் பயத்தில் இரவு முழுவதும் தூங்கமால் அதையே நினைத்துக்கொண்டு இருந்தது.
மறுநாள் காலையிலிருந்து காட்டில் நல்ல மழை, நரி தன் இருப்பிடத்தை விட்டு வெளியே வந்து சிங்கம் இருக்கும் குகையை நோக்கி போகும் வழியில் மழை நீர்ப்பட்டு தன்மேலிருக்கும் நீல சாயம் மாறியது. இதைக்கண்ட மற்ற விலங்குகளின் பார்வையில் மாற்றம் தெரிந்தது.
அப்படியே, சிங்கக்குகைக்குள் சென்ற நரியைப் பார்த்து சிங்கம் வா நண்பா! இவ்வளவு நாள் எங்கே போனாய் இங்கு ஒரு நீல மிருகம் ஒன்று வந்திருக்கிறது. அது ரெம்ப பலசாலியாம்.
இன்று அந்த மிருகம் என்னை சந்திக்க வருதாம் என்று சிங்கம் சொல்லுவதைக் கேட்டவுடன், நரிக்கு புரிந்தது நாம் வசமாக மாட்டிக்கொண்டோம்.
அவ்வளவு தான், நண்பர்களே அடுத்து என்ன நடக்கும் என்பது நாம் அனைவருக்கும் தெரியும்.
